The Improv Everywhere comedy troupe staged a bookreading with Anton Chekhov at a NYC Barnes & Noble and in Union Park. They also set up a table and sold autographed copies of The Cherry Orchard. About one in four people knew who the Russian short story writer was and, out of those, only a few realized that he has been dead for over 100 years.

The actor doesn’t look a bit like Chekhov, but he could probably pass for Tolstoy.
