Impossible to say. . . I would be hope to be back sometime in the first week of August, but it’s out of my control.

The Moscow School of Economics (where I’ll be teaching next year) was getting me my invitation for a work visa, but they made FOUR errors (you know, little insignificant errors like country of birth, date of entry into Russian, request for a single entry instead of multiple entry visa, and a mistransliteration of my name) on a single half-page form. Hoping to bypass their incompotence in the whole process, I’ve taken matters into my own hands and arranged the visa myself. I wish I had done that in the first place. I would have saved myself a good deal of grief, time, and money. Like they say, “If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.”
