One of the things I?ve had on my list of ?things to do when I get back to the States? is to send some clippings from September?s Afisha magazine to my old History of Russian Language professor. Before I mailed it out, I scanned it so that I could post it here.

This is probably only of interest to those who study Russian, but here are a few iconic renderings of recent Hollywood movies in Slavonic (click on links for pop-up windows):

My Slavonic is more than rusty pretty much sucks, so I think I?ll dig out my notes and dictionary from that course to understand it better. I?ll post English translations in the comments later this week, unless anyone beats me to it.
